• Is Juicera organic?

Yes. All ingredients are certified USDA Organic, and in effect non-GMO. We are incredibly picky! Only the freshest, most local ingredients go into your high-test squeeze.

  • Kosher?

    Yes, OU Kosher certified.

  • Gluten-free?

    Yes, definitely.

  • Are your bottles BPA free?

    Yes, 100% BPA free.

  • I am allergic to nuts, can I still drink Juicera?

We do not use any nuts in our current recipes but please keep in mind that all of our juices are produced in a facility that uses nuts.

  • Can I substitute juice for a meal?

Unless on a juice fast cleanse or enjoying as a between meal snack, juice is more of a meal enhancer. Both as a meal enhancer and drank daily, juice provides a concentrate of nutrients to help meet the recommended 8-10 servings of veggies and fruits per day. Juice can also help you make healthier food choices by curbing carb or processed food cravings.

  • Are any recipes suitable for diabetics?

This is something to speak with your doctor about, as the fruit juices do contain natural sugars. The Green Power recipes contain the lowest amount of fruit juice (Green Power and Green Power Low Glycemic). Metabolic Lemonade contains coconut palm nectar, which is a low glycemic sweetener that is usually suitable for diabetics in moderation.

  • What if I'm pregnant?

We use High Pressure Processing (HPP), which retains food quality, maintains natural freshness and extends shelf life without heating to ultra high temperatures. After our juice is bottled, a high level of cold pressure is applied to destroy potentially harmful pathogens, ensuring the juice is safe to drink while preserving the nutritional properties. We have heard of many pregnant/nursing women drinking our juice, however we recommend speaking with your doctor first.

  • Where is your facility located?

In the Sunshine State - Miami, Florida.

  • Why do you remove the fiber?

By removing most of the fiber we are able to condense pounds of produce into one convenient and tasty bottle of juice. Omitting the fiber, or bulk, makes foods easy to digest and thus, easier for the body to receive maximum benefit from the source food. Additionally, some nutrients can actually be un-locked by separating them from the fiber.

  • I blend my smoothies, isn’t it the same?

Actually cold-pressed juices and blended smoothies are very different. Cold-pressing is a labor intensive process where we first gently grind the produce and then press it with thousands of pounds of pressure, releasing all of the nutrients and leaving us with a nearly dry patty of pulp (fiber). Cold-pressing is the highest quality extraction method in that it retains the most nutrients and enzymes. Your typical home juicer and blenders use fast spinning blades that generate heat and can destroy nutrients and enzymes. Additionally, the fiber left in the blended smoothie will require your body to use additional energy to digest. Cold-pressed juices provide the quickest boost of nutrients into your bloodstream.

  • What is HPP?

HPP, or High Pressure Processing, retains the pure taste, nutrition, and antioxidants of the fresh produce because we don’t cook it. By applying HPP we’re able to extend the microbiological shelf life without using traditional high heat pasteurization. Once the juice is bottled, cold pressure is evenly applied to destroy pathogens, mold, yeast and bacteria, ensuring Juicera is safe to drink while preserving nutrients and enzymes.

  • Do I need to keep it refrigerated?

Yes, it is important for quality and safety that you keep your juices in the fridge until you’re ready to drink them. Once opened, you have three days to enjoy the rest as long as it is kept refrigerated in between.

  • Is the juice supposed to separate like that?

Yes, separation is natural. We never homogenize or use any nasty additives to prevent separation. Give your juice a good shake and enjoy!

  • Can I drink Juicera past the Enjoy By date?

No, it is not recommended to drink any Juicera juice beyond the Enjoy By date.

  • How about freezing my Juicera juice?

You may freeze your juice but please be aware of the Enjoy By date. Once thawed you will want to enjoy your juice within the same number of days that you had remaining prior to freezing.

  • Is it normal for my stool to be red?

Beets are very powerful blood purifiers and so we put a good amount of beet juice in the Rooted Beginnings recipe. It is normal for beet juice to turn your stool red and even turn your urine a pretty shade of pink. If it is in fact blood consult your doctor immediately.

  • Can my kids drink Juicera?

Supplementing your child’s diet with our juices is a fantastic and delicious way to get all those much needed fruits and veggies into their growing and developing bodies. Growing children should not do a cleanse.

  • Can I eat anything?

The ultimate commitment to your health is a juice only cleanse. There is however a modified cleanse where you juice until dinner. This is still a great reboot for your system and clients typically find themselves making much healthier meal choices during and even after the program. To juice until dinner, simply enjoy 4 – 12oz. bottles of juice per day, with decaffeinated herbal tea, and warm water with lemon between juices. Then finish the day with a healthy plant based (vegan) dinner.

  • Won’t I feel hungry?

Most newbies are actually surprised that they don’t feel hungry while on a cleanse. If you do feel “hungry”, ask yourself, is it maybe a craving rather hunger? We can go without solid food and be just fine. By day two or three any cravings usually subside.

  • Is there anything I need to do to prepare?

Yes, 2 to 3 days prior to your cleanse start phasing out caffeinated beverages, alcohol, dairy, meat, poultry, white refined sugar, flour and bread products. Focus on whole foods, fresh fruit and vegetables and plenty of filtered water.

  • How long can I go?

Our record holder is a man who completed a 46 day juice only Juicera cleanse. He only broke his cleanse at that time because it was his anniversary and he wanted to enjoy dinner with his wife. He felt like a kid again. The length is up to you. Just listen to your body and do what makes you feel good. The most common length is 3, 5 or 7 days, repeated every three months.

  • Will just one day benefit me?

Absolutely! Even 24 hours can be a fantastic reboot and recharge for your system that tends to lead to healthier choices and habits.

  • Does a cleanse provide me with enough protein?

Juicera juice will provide you with all of the nutrients, vitamins, minerals and enzymes that your body needs for this period of healing.

  • Will I lose weight?

The primary function of a cleanse is to flush your body of built up waste and toxins, which unfortunately, we all have, and to reset your body and mind to make better choices. Clients do report the happy side effect of losing an average of 5-10 lbs. per week on a Juicera cleanse. Weight loss will vary depending on what you have to lose. If you are a string bean don’t expect to lose 10 pounds!

  • Will I gain the weight back after the cleanse?

You may gain some some weight back because when you go back to eating you will consume more calories than the juice alone. Nobody is perfect. The cleanse is meant to reboot your body and mind, make the connection between what works and doesn’t for YOUR body and help you focus on making healthier choices. When your body is healthy, you will naturally fall to and maintain a healthy weight.

  • Can I skip juices or change the order that I drink them in?

If you’re on a juice only cleanse it is important that you do not skip juices, as your body will need all of that nourishment. The main goal here is to take as much stress off you as possible so that your body can use that energy to heal. Continuously flooding your body with the best of the phytonutrient world makes it happy and reduces stress. The best time to assimilate (absorb) nutrients is first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. This is why we begin with a Green juice, which is the workhorse of a cleanse. We have put a lot of thought into the order that you enjoy Juicera juices so that you receive maximum benefit.

  • Any side effects?

Some people experience headaches, cravings, mood changes, fatigue, and lightheadedness. These are all normal symptoms of detoxifying your body and usually subside by the second or third day. Just try to take it easy and listen to your body.

  • Should I keep taking my prescribed medication?

As we are not doctors we cannot advise to the starting or stopping of any medication. This is something to discuss with your doctor prior to beginning a cleanse.

  • Can I exercise while cleansing?

We recommend that you use this time to provide your body the energy and space it needs to heal. Light exercises that are complementary to a cleanse are yoga, pilates, walking and swimming. This is not the time to catch up on spin classes, do P-90X or Insanity in your living room or run the 5K you’ve been meaning to do. If you must do heavier exercise then you will need to consume more calories.

  • Can I smoke while cleansing?

You’re an adult, the decision is yours. But, since you’re asking, our recommendation is no.

  • Can I do this while I am pregnant or nursing?

A cleanse is not recommended for a pregnant or nursing woman. Juice alone does not provide sufficient calories while pregnant or nursing, however it’s the perfect fresh, nutrient rich supplement to your regular diet, especially during these times.

  • Can I do a cleanse if I have diabetes?

This is something to speak with your doctor about as the fruit juices do contain natural sugars. We do have diabetic clients who have had great success with a juice cleanse but stick with mostly green juices with prior doctor’s approval.

  • Should I take my regular multi-vitamin or other supplements?

Your juices will provide you with all of the vitamins, minerals and enzymes that you need to function normally throughout the day. To enhance the cleanse we recommend taking a high quality probiotic, E3 Live Blue-green algae and breaking the cleanse with digestive enzymes.

  • Can I do this if I am on blood thinners?

We do have clients that are on blood thinners. You can enjoy a number of our recipes to supplement your diet without the green juices. Please check with your doctor before starting any program.

  • How do I break my Juicera cleanse?

Slowly ease back into solid foods, starting with the easier to digest leafy greens, non-starchy vegetables, soup, fruit and smoothies. Over the next couple days gradually reintroduce all vegetables, beans, grains, with heavier proteins and lean meats coming in last.
